          1962122出生,法國國家自然歷史博物館理學(xué)博士,中國科學(xué)院水生生物標本館館長(cháng)、中國科學(xué)院水生生物多樣性與保護重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗室主任、魚(yú)類(lèi)系統發(fā)育與生物地理學(xué)學(xué)科組責任研究員。中國動(dòng)物學(xué)會(huì )理事,湖北省暨武漢動(dòng)物學(xué)會(huì )理事長(cháng)。湖北省科協(xié)第六屆委員;任《中國動(dòng)物志》編委,以及《生物多樣性》,《動(dòng)物學(xué)研究》,《應用與環(huán)境生物學(xué)報》和《水生生物學(xué)報》編委。先后主持和承擔歐盟項目、國家自然科學(xué)重點(diǎn)基金、國家自然科學(xué)青年基金、國家863項目和973專(zhuān)題。 得到美國NSF有關(guān)生命之樹(shù)項目的資助開(kāi)展鯉形目系統發(fā)育研究。研究工作運用了生物技術(shù)、網(wǎng)絡(luò )和數字化技術(shù)相結合的手段,使魚(yú)類(lèi)系統學(xué)和生物地理學(xué)這一進(jìn)化生物學(xué)的前沿學(xué)科達到了較高的水平。使用多個(gè)基因序列數據重建鯉科和鲇形目魚(yú)類(lèi)的系統(Zhao, Duan et al. 2009; Fu, Chen et al. 2010; Chen, Zou et al. 2011; Fu and He 2012; Zou, Guo et al. 2012; Yang, Zou et al. 2013; Yang and He 2014)發(fā)育過(guò)程、提出了鯉科魚(yú)類(lèi)系統發(fā)育新的模式,保持了對鯉形目魚(yú)類(lèi)系統學(xué)研究在世界上的主導地位。最近,更得到中國科學(xué)院戰略性先導科技專(zhuān)項項目的資助,這對了解青藏高原和深海,這兩個(gè)極端環(huán)境的魚(yú)類(lèi)的基因組及其適應進(jìn)化,有重要意義。所在學(xué)科組在選題、使用的理論和方法上都達到國際先進(jìn)水平并直接參與國際競爭。尤其是在輻鰭魚(yú)類(lèi)的轉錄組、基因組、蛋白質(zhì)組等組學(xué)水平的研究,達到國際先進(jìn)水平。目前,已完成的有鰱魚(yú)、鳙魚(yú)的全基因組,正在進(jìn)行中的有塞內加爾多鰭魚(yú)、似鯰高原鰍、小眼高原鰍和黑斑原鮡全基因組。成功組裝、注釋了鰱、鳙魚(yú)的轉錄組和全基因組,找到鰱魚(yú)的鰱魚(yú)可以在水體中大量濾食有毒藍藻而不被MC所毒害的原因,可能與鰱魚(yú)體內的 GSH 合成通路中某些基因在進(jìn)化過(guò)程中受到了正向選擇有關(guān),使其適應這種有毒的環(huán)境。塞內加爾多鰭魚(yú),是淡水硬骨魚(yú)類(lèi)的原始類(lèi)型,是比較古老的輻鰭魚(yú)類(lèi)。多鰭魚(yú)的全基因組測序工作對了解整個(gè)輻鰭魚(yú)類(lèi),甚至是四足類(lèi)的進(jìn)化有重要意義。而高原鰍和黑斑原鮡,這三種高原魚(yú)類(lèi)的基因組,有助于對高原這一低氧、低溫、高海拔的極端環(huán)境的魚(yú)類(lèi)適應性狀的解析。 

          主要創(chuàng )新表現在:魚(yú)類(lèi)生物多樣性和標本信息的數字化管理,創(chuàng )建了ChinaFishBase魚(yú)類(lèi)生物信息數據庫;運用分子系統學(xué)方法在鯉科魚(yú)類(lèi)系統發(fā)育研究方面取得重要成果,發(fā)現了鯉科魚(yú)類(lèi)系統發(fā)育新格局;運用生物地理學(xué)方法研究了魚(yú)類(lèi)物種分化與青藏高原隆升的關(guān)系;在國際上率先使用分子系統學(xué)方法對亞洲鲇類(lèi)及相關(guān)類(lèi)群開(kāi)展系統發(fā)育研究,率先對青藏高原這一高原極端環(huán)境魚(yú)類(lèi)的轉錄組和基因組進(jìn)行研究。研究成果為分子系統學(xué)與生物地理學(xué)學(xué)科的后續發(fā)展開(kāi)拓了新的領(lǐng)域。
